THE BRAND
Since starting out in Melbourne in 2018, we've spent an unhealthy amount of time developing fabrics, researching old graphics, and obsessing over tiny details most people probably won't notice.
Our collections are a mix of high-quality staples and graphics pulled from all sorts of places. Sometimes everything makes perfect sense together. Sometimes it doesn't. We promise there's usually a reason!
A lot of what we make is inspired by vintage clothing, archival graphics, things designed for a specific purpose, and random references we've become obsessed with along the way. Some pieces are loud. Some are simple. Both are intentional.
We're not interested in releasing hundreds of products a year. We'd rather take our time, make things properly, and release them when they're ready. Our goal is to create pieces that wear better the longer you have them.
THE NAME
So what does SORRYIMBUSY actually mean? Glad you asked. It's never really meant just one thing. Depending on who you ask, it's an excuse, a joke, a reminder to slow down, or simply a name that people connect with in their own way.
Keeping things open-ended has allowed us to make products that are a little off the beaten path. Over the years that's led us to release rugs, passport holders, frisbees, our own hot sauce, and plenty of other things that probably made less sense on paper.
We’re not too serious about ourselves. We just enjoy making cool things, building out little worlds, and hopefully entertaining you along the way.
